What are some love stories?

So, this is story time.

I would love to narrate the love story of one of my close friends. For some obvious reasons I won't be using her original name.

It was month of August.

So the story starts with Ria (our protagonist, my friend) sitting near the college auditorium and crying like hell. It was when Rahul had been continuously watching her crying but could not persuade himself to go and console her. You must be thinking that consoling someone is one of the best thing someone can do to a person who is in trouble so what was it that was stopping Rahul from doing the same . Inspite of knowing the reason behind that sobbing of Ria, he was helpless. He stood like a stone there…breaking inch by inch slowly.

Flashback to month of June

It was the birthday party of one of our friends , Tanya. Rahul was not invited to that party because he was never a part of our group. Party was still going on when someone with a bouquet and a lots of gifts and chocolates entered the room. The bouquet was big enough to cover his face and at, the same time ,he was occupied enough to hold even a single chocolate.

We all were surprised to see someone entering the room like this. Initially we thought that may be he is the best friend of Tanya but to our surprise he was none other than Rahul. We are amazed of the fact that inspite of we not inviting him he came and that too with so many gifts and all. But hold on…we were wrong.

He was a self invited guest to the party but he did not come for the party.

Then he came near to Tanya , wished her birthday and hander her a chocolate. I thought why the hell he bought so many gifts and not to forget that big bouquet when he had to gift just a single chocolate to Tanya. But he didn't keep us in this dilemma for too long.

After a minute or two he went near Ria and proposed her in a complete bollywood style. Everyone was surprised. Ria told him that how could he propose her . I mean how could he do that , inspite of knowing the whole situation.

Rahul didn't do much to persuade her and he left the place.

Next morning, in the college, there was some weird air between both of them, for obvious reasons.

Ria never accepted his proposal but that didn't make his love fade away .

Cut to present

Rahul could not hold himself anymore and went to her. Inspite of he knowing the reason behind her crying he asked her.

Rahul : So , what's the matter?

Ria : Don't act innocent…as if you don't know anything.

Rahul : okay cool…but I've already told you that Aditya sir is way senior to us still you were mad after him. Now are you happy with the consequences ?? Mana kar diya na.. ab khush .

( Aditya sir is persuing the same course in our college which Rahul and Ria are persuing. He is in the 3rd year of his college whereas Rahul and Ria are in 1st year. Ria really liked Aditya sir a lot and after about 6 months of liking, she proposed him to which he directly said no, backing his answer with the fact that he already like someone . But Ria was completely sure that Sir was lying and this whole thing really hurt her)

Ria : Ohh please.. if you can't say anything good then please get lost…I don't want your company.

Rahul : yaar mera wo matlab nahi tha …main toh bas ye keh raha tha ki isse achcha to mera proposal accept kar leti.

Suddenly there was silence in the air . Both were staring at each other when Ria started laughing loudly.

Ria : ( laughing) you guys are so opportunistic…I must say.

And Rahul also started laughing.

That was the day when they became friends and now after almost 2 years after that incident they are madly in love with each other.

Now their parents also know about their relationship and they both are planning to get married within a year or two.

But what remained constant in their relationship was that statement of Rahul “ isse achcha to mera proposal accept kar leti” today alsi Rahul teases Ria regarding Aditya Sir :-P

I guess it is correctly said that love is one of the most unexpected things to happen at the most unexpected time, when you least expect it and probably with the person you least expected.
